Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist

Hi! I'm Brian Rodriguez, a data scientist and machine learning researcher based in Miami, FL. I hold a Master’s in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Florida International University, where I graduated with top honors.

My work focuses on building and explaining AI systems—from training transformer models to play chess at near-grandmaster level, to deploying real-time image classifiers on embedded devices.

I’ve collaborated with the Air Force Research Laboratory to develop cutting-edge generative AI solutions and contribute to explainable AI research.

I’m passionate about turning complex data into actionable insights. My experience includes:

• Natural Language Processing – tools for summarizing conversations
• Computer Vision – biological image analysis and real-time classification
• Cloud Computing – experience with GCP, AWS, and Azure
• Model Interpretability – building transparent and explainable AI tools
